It’s all about the Speed

Keeping this simply and straight to the point, the hitter hits the baseball much harder if he swings the bat much faster. So much has been said on how to enhance the hitting ability but what should be understood is that the hitter who swings his bat with a higher velocity hits the baseball hardest.  For you to be an outstanding hitter there are a number of things to be considered and bat speed should definitely be somewhere close to the top if not at the top. This implies that a smaller player can be as efficient as a bigger player in the field if his bat speed is impressive. As it has always been the case, players can never be “all big” or “all small.” Speed is what levels the diversity. Now that we know paramount speed is, how do we improve on it? Maybe you want to see shop pitching machines?

First and foremost, practice every day, particularly your swing. Some of the professional hitters attribute their success to more than 400 swings a day in the off season. Indeed that is actually what makes them the professional hitters. Taking 400 swings a day might prove to be a hard task, a very hard one for that matter. This does not imply that for you to be a great hitter you must do the 400 swings in a day. You do not necessarily have to take all of them. What you need to do is to ensure that you practice your swings as often as possible. It should be taken in the same way that the actual swing of the bat is taken during a match. Practicing is the only way to improve your performance because you will become used to the correct swaying the bat. In the real game, you will just be redoing what you are used to. Apparently there are other benefits that come with practicing the swing which include your strength and speed which as a baseball hitter.

Secondly, engrossing the bat too firmly is a common baseball difficulty and should be avoided at all costs. This is very common with you the junior players. They have the perception that hitting the ball hard is determined by holding the bat too tight. The truth of the matter is that this will actually slow down the speed of your bat and as a result your performance will be compromised. This also applies to a pitcher who holds the ball tighter to drag a pitch and a baseball hitter holding the bat firmly reduce the speed of his bat. See this unbelievable batting equipment.

Finally, ensure that you swing straight towards the ball. The beginning of a swing is a descending movement that should level at the meeting point only. Among the very important baseball tips on hitting, this is one of them. Being quick to the ball is very crucial.  A brief and fast move to the ball will put you in a much better position than a stretched and robust move. Visit shop for batting cages.
